Renée Bueckert,
Registered Clinical Counsellor
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor in good standing with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (reg.#14018) having completed a Master’s in Counselling Psychology at the University of British Columbia. I am also a trained and experienced EMDR therapist.
And I love what I do!
I specialize in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, and dissociation, and have unique knowledge & skill in the areas of traumatic brain injury and post-concussion syndrome.
My focus is on improving the dynamic between cognition and the nervous system to mitigate distressing symptoms. I have developed an in-depth understanding of life after traumatic brain injury, and help my clients re-invent their lives and find joy.
I also have a strong background in vocational rehabilitation and designing gradual return-to-work plans after injury or illness and provide legal assessment reports for the court as a subject matter expert. I am also an instructor for Douglas College teaching Vocational Rehabilitation to students across Canada.
